Globe Trade Centre SA (GTC) has concluded a significant lease agreement in the complex of University Business Park. The companies in the STRABAG Group, including Hermann Kirchner Poland, will take nearly 1 800 sqm of office space. STRABAG Group is a leader in the construction market in Germany, Austria and CEE countries.

The new agreement was concluded in October. Most of the leased space will be taken by Hermann Kirchner Poland. The company provides services mainly in the construction and repairs of roads and highways.

„The choice of University Business Park by a renown construction company confirms the highest quality of our investment in Lodz “- says Piotr Kroenke, General Director of GTC SA.

“In the Q3 2010, office space vacancy rate in Lodz has fallen by 4%. The rental of office space by Strabag in the University Business Park means continuation of the positive trend in Lodz. It is also one of the largest lease transactions concluded this year in this city” – said Pawel Lothammer from the international agency Jones Lang LaSalle, which brokered the transaction.

Among the companies that have leased space in the University Business Park so far are also Intergraph Poland, Kredyt Bank, AEGON, and Warta Life Insurance Company.

University Business Park is the only fully modern office complex in Lodz. The investment is located next to land of University of Lodz, between Kosciuszko Avenue and Wolczanska Street. The first of two buildings of the complex, completed in May this year, comprises 18 500 sqm of user-friendly and very well lighted with natural light A-class office space and 300 parking spaces.

University Business Park buildings have seven storeys, and a typical floor area is 2 700 sqm.

University Business Park is fully adapted to the needs of large and small companies (minimum rentable area is 100 sqm). The complex was designed to ensure the tenants the possibility of flexible interior design and efficient land use planning, both in the cabinet, and open space.

University Business Park is fitted with high ceilings, tilt windows with external blinds, modern heating, ventilation and telecommunication systems, as well as dual power and full control access. This gives the opportunity to freely arrange the offices for example for back-office or laboratory or research activities – conducted by companies in the BPO sector, which constitute a significant proportion of potential investors in the Lodz region.
