GTC named Office Developer of the Decade in Poland

• GTC has been awarded the title of Office Developer of the Decade

• The company has built 350,000 sq m of modern office space in Poland

• In 2011 GTC plans to begin construction of 85,000 sq m of Class A office space

Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has received the award for Office Developer of the Decade by the industry magazine Eurobuild. So far GTC has developed office buildings in six Polish cities for a total lease space of 350,000  sq m.

The competition was open to real estate developers who have contributed significantly to the growth of the office market in Poland in 2000–2010. Each firm vying for the title of Office Developer of the Decade had to have a portfolio of at least 3 office buildings constructed during this decade in Poland. The winner was selected by a panel of judges made up of 39 independent experts, including real estate agents and consultants, lawyers, bankers and engineers. Developers were not eligible to vote. GTC was recognised not only for the high quality of the projects it has carried out, but also for its optimal and effective business strategy.

GTC has been instrumental in helping create the contemporary business image of Warsaw, Cracow, Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań and Katowice. In many instances, GTC’s office developments have revived post-industrial area that had previously been neglected, but now offer modern buildings and essential infrastructure.

The portfolio of GTC’s completed office developments in Poland comprises 350,000 sq m of lease space. GTC’s major projects in this segment of the real estate market include Mokotów Business Park, Platinium Business Park, Okęcie Business Park, Topaz and Nefryt (all in Warsaw), GTC Office Center and Kazimierz Office Center in Cracow, University Business Park in Łódź, Francuska Office Center in Katowice, and the Globis buildings in Poznań and Wrocław.

The Eurobuild CEE Awards were given out during a gala celebration on 8 December 2010 in Warsaw.

Awards for GTC`s Czech projects

• Galeria Harfa, which opened in Prague in November, received the CEE CIJ Award as “Best Shopping Center Development” in the Czech

• Zelené Mesto was honoured as “Best Residential Development”

• Zelené Mesto also received an award in the prestigious “Best of Realty” competition held since 1999

A gala event for the real estate industry was held on 24 November 2010 in Prague by CEE Construction & Investment magazine to recognise the best developers and developments on the Czech market. Among the winners were two projects carried out by Lighthouse Group, an affiliate of Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC).

Galeria Harfa, honoured as “Best Shopping Center Development 2010,” is the largest project of this type in Prague as well as the only shopping mall delivered for occupancy in Prague this year. The facility offers 42,000 sq m of net retail space, on three levels, and is over 90% let.

Visitors to Galeria Harfa have over 180 shops at their disposal, offering famous Czech and international brands, service points, cafés, restaurants, a luxury fitness club and a swimming pool. The mall also offers an impressive 9,500 sq m roof garden.

The winner in the category “Best Residential Development 2010” was Zelené M?sto (“Green City”), which has been developed in Prague by Lighthouse Group since 2007. The first completed phase of the project offers 400 2- to 4-room apartments with a total area of 46,000 sq m. Ultimately the development will include 28 low-rise apartment buildings as well as two 11-storey residential towers.

Zelené M?sto is located in the Prague district of Jarov, next to Třešňovka hill and the surrounding green areas. The available apartments offer highly functional and practical space, with attractive finishing of the interiors and the common areas.

This was the 10th year in which the CEE Construction & Investment awards have been given on the Czech market.

Zelené M?sto was also honoured in the “Best of Realty” (Nejlepší z realit) competition, which has been held since 1999 to recognise achievements by architects, developers, contractors and real estate consulting firms in the Czech Republic. The judges this year considered over 430 projects. Zelené M?sto won an award in the category for “Best Residential Project.”

GTC Hungary receives CEE CIJ Developer of the Year Award

GTC Hungary – a subsidiary of Globe Trade Centre S.A. – has been voted Developer of the Year 2010 in Hungary in CEE Construction & Investment Journal (CEE CIJ) Awards. The jury has also honoured GTC’s Hungary CEO, Robert Snow with the Hungary’s Personality of the Year Award.

An independent jury comprising renowned specialists from real estate, construction and finance, has honoured GTC Hungary for its consistent and high quality projects as well as for its impressive mix of vision, pragmatism and readiness for the future.

GTC Hungary is the leading developer in the country, with more than 170,000 square meters of excellent quality office and residential space developed in Budapest to date. Robert Snow has more than 20 years of development experience in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2000 Robert Snow is responsible for GTC’s real estate and development activities in the Hungarian and Serbian markets. He leads a development team in the site acquisition, project development, leasing and sales of a diverse range of commercial office buildings and residential projects in these markets.

The CEE CIJ Awards were awarded at a gala held on 2 December at the InterContinental Hotel in Budapest. This year’s CEE CIJ gala was the 6th in the history of the contest.

Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC), the owner and manager of Galeria Jurajska in Częstochowa, has signed a lease with TK Maxx for 2,850 sqm of retail space on the ground floor of the mall, in the location that has so far been occupied by the home appliance store Avans. TK Maxx offers clothing, footwear, accessories and items for the home from famous brands and designers at up to 60% off the regular retail price.

TK Maxx belongs to the American group TJX Companies, with over 2,500 locations in the US and Canada and over 250 stores in Europe, including 7 in Poland. The TK Maxx store at Galeria Jurajska will be one of three new locations for the chain that will begin operations in the near future.

90% of the products offered at TK Maxx stores are from the most recent collections, and 10% from past seasons. TK Maxx offers products from over 3,000 well-known manufacturers from all over the world.

The TK Maxx store at Galeria Jurajska in Częstochowa will open to the public in March 2011.

Galeria Jurajska is the third retail and entertainment centre opened by Globe TradeCentre S.A. (GTC) in Poland, and the first modern facility of its type in Częstochowa. The mall opened in October 2009.
