• The investment of GTC won “Beautiful Wrocław” competition
• The office building GLOBIS came first in the category of public utility buildings in Wrocław
The office building GLOBIS executed by Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) was awarded in the 19th edition of the architectural competition “Beautiful Wrocław”. The building was regarded as the best public utility facility in Wrocław put into use in 2008.
The office building GLOBIS is located at the crossing of Powstańców Śląskich and Swobodna Streets, opposite Arkady Wrocławskie shopping and office centre. The building has 850 sq m of commercial and service premises located on the ground floor, as well as 14 500 sq m of modern office space.
GLOBIS was put into use in spring 2008. Among the companies that have offices there, one can mention, among others, Hewlett Packard, Citi Bank Handlowy, Raiffeisen BANK, Medicover and HDF.
The office building GLOBIS was erected on the basis of a design prepared by Studio EL – a Wrocław architectural studio run by Edward Lach. Elongated, 12-storey solid figure of modern architecture extends along Powstańców Śląskich Street. Top of the building is a glazed corner over the main entrance. Office premises were planned so as to ensure that they could house offices of one or several tenants. The design and shape of the building enable effective layout of space and easy access of daily light, creating comfortable working conditions
The same architectural studio has prepared the design of the other office investment of GTC in the capital of Lower Silesia. Karkonoska Office Centre will be erected on a plot with total area of 1.3 ha at Karkonoska Street. It will consist of cascade-laid three office buildings with the total area of 32 000 sq m.
“Beautiful Wrocław” competition promotes new architecture of Wrocław. It is organized by the Wrocław Lovers Association and the city authorities. In this year jury selected awarded in all the categories designs from among nearly 400 buildings that were put into use in Wrocław in 2008
