Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has concluded a lease agreement for office space at Francuska Office Centre with Ruch S.A. (Ruch). Ruch has rented 2,434 sq m of space located on two floors of the building.

Ruch is Poland based press distributor founded in 1918. It has over 40% of local market share. It offers press, books, magazines and other publications. Ruch also offers other products including tobacco, detergents, cosmetics, OTC medications, toiletries, groceries and stationary. Ruch operates through its own retail network consisting of approx. 7,600 kiosks, newspaper shops, food stores, supermarkets, coffee shops and gas stations.

In August, Ruch will open its accounting services center at Francuska Office Centre in Katowice.

“Our transaction has been undoubtedly one of the most important deals concluded on the local market this year. We are very proud that one of the most recognizable consumer brands in Poland has chosen our building. Ruch is a very demanding tenant and its choice confirms the highest quality of the GTC’s project.” – said Jacek Wachowicz, Member of the Management Board of GTC.

Francuska Office Centre is located at 34 Francuska street. The first building in the complex, completed in the 2nd quarter of 2010, includes nearly 11,000 sq m of modern office space. The headquarters of many key institutions (such as local government and the regional court) and prominent Polish and international companies are located in the immediate vicinity of the GTC project.

Francuska Office Centre is located adjacent to public transit stops. The project is also convenient for motorists, with direct access from Francuska street and easy access for travellers on the A4 motorway and national route 86. Katowice International Airport,  at Pyrzowice, is about a 25-minute drive. The underground parking garage at the complex offers spaces for about 400 vehicles.

The interiors at Francuska Office Center are designed to allow tenants flexible arrangement and efficient management of the space, for such uses as back-office operations, research or laboratory activity. The complex offers companies the opportunity to grow within a single office park, which is still a rare feature in Katowice.

The list of other tenants of Francuska Office Centre includes:  Bank Millennium, Nordea Bank, Philips Lighting and Berlitz.

GTC is currently conducting negotiations with other companies interested in renting space at the project.
